As it is National Depression Awareness Week this week, we thought it would be useful to write a few blog posts about Depression. We want to give you an idea of No Pain depression is, how it can affect individuals and those around them, and some ideas for coping with depression and moving forward.
There is no easy cure or quick fix solution, some people will live with depression for the majority of their lives, but this blog aims to show you that you are not alone, that it is okay to suffer from depression, and that there are people out there that care and can support you through your highs and your lows.
Sometimes it can last momentarily, other times it can last days, weeks or even years. You feel upset for no reason at all. All of these feelings and emotions are a lot for one person to deal with so this can affect sleep patterns and appetite too. This list is not exhaustive, different people may be affected in different ways as these feelings may have been triggered by different life events.
For example, the loss of somebody close, or feeling hopeless because of a situation you find yourself in there is no blame here, people go through various events throughout their lives.

These types of foods can raise our energy levels within a matter of days.
Set your alarm clock and stick to it. Force yourself into a routine and you will find that this could help you to get back on track. Start the day by showering and freshening up, then have breakfast while thinking about and setting yourself tasks for the day ahead. If you are out of work and are finding it hard to cope with, why not try getting involved with volunteering projects with something you are interested in?
This can be a great way to get out, change your scenery and meet new people too. This might be easier said than done but make positive changes or resolutions.
