This was the third repackaging of Tomita material to reach the record-store shelves -- as if two so-called greatest-hits albums weren't plenty -- yet oddly enough, it is also the most interesting and best-programmed of the three.
The premise is predictable -- a walk in space outside an orbiting spaceship, complete with renamed titles for each selection and some new age prose delineating an astronaut's alleged innermost thoughts as the space walk unfolds. With all of the selections running together without a break, the whole album has a convincing, drifting unity that doesn't need a topical umbrella.
